2002 -- Bill Struhar's Journal
winter spring summer Fall

October

I am teaching for one quarter only in the "supplemental retirement program" -- one Introduction to Flash class and two on-line Psychology classes.

Watched a great DVD titled "Man of the Century."

I've been having some important meetings with Ted Turney on certain Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I am reviewing Adobe's GoLive and LiveMotion products.

I played golf this week twice.

Larry the bird makes his debut.

Larry portraits and Larry with me.

Larry
does time.

Big purchase of gas for a final lawn cutting.

Cole sent me some pictures of her and Joey.

Joey creates a great piece of art: portrait of Joey's mom.

Software test: I am checking out Photoshop Elements 2.

At the DAFUG meeting last night, we decided to document our workspaces.

Just fooling around with Sorenson Squeeze to see what kind of file sizes I get.

Larry takes a bath because Mike is coming to visit.

An online Flash lesson showing how to control a movie clip with actionScript.

Trip to Little River, South Carolina -- includes (some mundane and some good) photo images.

Memories of India will persist until I die, I am sure.

November

Time for an adventure. We are buying another house and workspace near where we live.

The colors of Fall -- a Belmont street scene.

On advice from Cliff and the local pet store, I clipped Larry's wings.

Preparing for the League Conference in two weeks -- here is a prototype of something my workshop participants will build.

You've heard of the Royal Tenenbaums. Well here are the Royal Downies.

A Flash movie meant to be used as a discussion starter in psychology classes.

Lunch at the Chinese buffet brought me good fortune.

To clarify my thoughts about the new building, I read this book.

I've also been reading about video composition.

I will read about Linus during my flight to California next week.

Rollover Gail and do it again.

We stopped at the Southern Belle last week to see Bobbie Sue.

The conspiracy between higher education and textbook publishers must be stopped.

Poison ivy is beautiful in the Fall.

The University of Dayton serenity park is nice, too.

Larry is definitely part of the family.

A new upscale grocery, Trader Joe's, inspired me to try an Italian dinner.

Larry has had his nap and is thinking about a TGIF celebration today.

Hello to CC.

Sunny days in California to present a workshop on educational technology.

Thanks to the business Gail works for, I am baking a ham today.

December

The weekend after Thanksgiving -- a trip to Mars.

Evidently Larry is a female because she laid an egg.

A Flash experiment.

I'm thrilled -- my Christmas shopping is almost done.

Belmont has a first snow. And here is the dreary Winter look.

December 23 -- today, all day, is my birthday -- morning, noon, and nite.

Birthday presents include: the nose.

My 53rd birthday self-portrait.

Bob Downie portrait one and portrait two.

What I learned today about me and mom.
